Chris Christie was definitive Thursday about the question of his aides apparently causing traffic jams for political purposes: he knew nothing about it and when he asked, he was lied to.

But he also tried to lay to rest an old nagging question.

"I am who I am. But I am not a bully,'' the New Jersey governor said. "I don't hide my emotions from people. I am not a focus-group-tested, blow-dried candidate or governor. ... Some people like that style, some people don't.''

Subtext: If you don't like it, that's your problem.

It's been asked before if Christie is the kind of guy who might favor political revenge. But the answer is paramount if he is going to run for president in 2016.
